Material Development Workshop for Thaa Atoll Schools Teachers from 6th August to 12th August

This Material Development Workshop was held from 6th August to 12th August 2017 to teachers from Thaa Atoll Schools in Gaadhifushi School to facilitate the use of ICT in teaching and learning. The workshop was held for teachers from pre-school and the primary and a total of 22 teachers from foundation stage and key stage one participated in the workshop. The workshop aimed to assist the teachers to prepare Dhivehi based materials to use in teaching and learning through the use of UNESCO prepared CDs. The workshop was funded by the government.

A 2 day workshop on (16 and 17 July) was held at Adh. AEC for Aa and Adh key stage 2 science teachers on Problem Based Learning. A total of 37 teachers participated in this workshop.

The workshop which was aimed at preschool teachers to kick start early intervention in schools was successfully completed by 25 teachers from 13 preschools.

Participants of this workshop were imparted with knowledge related to the compilation of a plan to carry out early intervention and how to conduct early intervention in the school.

Professional staff from the National Institute of Education and local experts in the field acted as facilitators in this workshop which was conducted from July 2- July 13 (10 days) at the seminar room of the National Institute of Education.
